Default RCMK throttle question

I noticed that when I completely open the throttle it actually is not yet hitting the stop and can go about another 1/4 inch. Should this be set so that when the thottle fully opens it goes all the way to the stop?

1 pic shows throttle fully open using radio / 2nd pic is when I manually push it rest of the way.

Yes, it should hit the stop so do a little adjusting to the throttle arm on the servo or work on your end point adjustment. While your in there, remove that idle speed screw and throw it as far as you can, you don't need or want it.

YES do as Ron says , throw that idle screw as far away as possible, there is no reason for them in a r/c anything.

I think a sticky should be posted about this .

You should also consider locking the mixture screws. This can be done with a needle clamp or simply by cutting two short pieces of fuel tubing and slipping one over each. Vibration will eventually cause the needles to 'move'.

Thanks. Do you mean slip the tubing over the needles and springs?

Just over the needles themselves. I use a zip-tie snugly but not tightly tied around both of the pieces of fuel tubing. Sometimes the pieces of tubing will be close enough together so that he zip-tie isn't needed but just another precaution.
I had a picture somewhere but can't find it right now.
