Cheers Bob,
while out searching for the missing nuts bolts etc we found a very good local place that had everything we needed,we even found he stocked the orings we needed for the exhaust headers too so we bought a supply of those too lol.Great guy there also as he gave us the nuts and bolts for free ,needless to say we will be going back in the future for anything we need.

RE: My new 58
Just an update on my new Arrow hulls,a friend took his for its maiden today with a 29 cc modded zen and on its first outing it was gpsd at 65.6 mph.Not bad for a first run .Hopefully he will get some video of his second test run, cant wait to see how she goes when he gets her dialed in with a fast prop [X(].

ps forgot to mention the motor is brand new not even run in yet lol.

RE: My new 58
Here's a very short clip of it shot on my mobile, this was the first run and had a bit a adjustment before it was clocked at 65.6mph.
The motor is a Zenoah 29 top end ported by me, on an RCMK bottom end with a 1mm RCMK stroker crank.
The prop was an ABC 2816/2.

RE: My new 58
This hull really needs a twin with a spiltter gearbox (no overdrive).
We have assembled a few here on the continent and all of them (we used MHZ or Aeromarine 56" Apaches) performed with those setups very well, CG must be set to 29%, props pairs we used have been from propshop 7016/3 up to 7018/4 and a pir of 7020/3 (made by dasboata out of 7018/3), I think a really good engine can handle 5-bladers as well.
Due to the chine angle of 20...22 degrees a good centerdistance of the 2 drives would be 72...73mm.
Experiences with my own twin.
I do not know how the RCMK twin performs power, maybe similar if modified.

RE: My new 58
Most guys running my hull are using the single 29 -30 cc zenoahs and are in the mid to high 50s,fastest so far was 59 mph, compairable to a twin setup speed wise i would think with much less weight.I would also like to personally build one with the inline rcmk but im a little busy building the hulls at the moment.I think when i build the 70 version that will be the one to try the tiwns in as theres more room to work .

RE: My new 58
The less it weights the boat the less power you need so : no clutches,no pumps,no strange fuel tanks.
If it possible a cut down version ( only an inch ) should be some mph faster....oh..and a good stainless pipe.
German "style" gas boats are beautiful, in scale, well built but often too heavy !
To go fast you need a strong motor, a light weight boat and a good set up

By the way my Apaches are 4 1/2" from chine to top of deck ,sleaker = faster. The bare hull weighs 9 1/2 -10 1/2 lb depending on layup.Lightest ive built one was 8 1/2Lb that was the electric one which is a glass x carbon layup with no rails.
