I like the Stig figures. I watch Top Gear whenever I can on BBC America. Might use them on my next build.
I have used;
Barbie and Max Steel on my 60" Apache = Best
WHH Drivers on my 57" AM Apache = Better
Bonzi Drivers on my 57" CIP Apache = Good, Don't like the wooden heads

No way, the water must be contaminated in Canada
My buddy has them on his apache with the wooden grill pieces and is going to sell, so anybody that want some look in the classifieds soon...

WHH version is by far the best for driver/throttle man set-ups, the Max and barbie are the funniest for sure!

And when the words actually "check-in", it's 90% dense

Classic WHH hater for his own personal reasons of course which is fine

I have used several kinds of driver figures and I have come up with theory. I think that what you use for driver figures depends on what you really want the finish product to look like. If it is going to look like a scale race boat, then go with drivers that look the part with helmets and life vests. If you are going for a sport boat look, then you can get away with a couple Barbie dolls and a Ken doll!
Race boat- spare no expense! Each figure can cost $30
Sport boat- Walmart has them on sale for under $6 each!
Have fun!
