Default weed eater rc boat

how do i connect a weed eater motor to the flex shaft?, i have a 36 inch boat and a flex shaft from an sv27, i want to put a very small weed eater motor in it

You're going to do it with a tiny cable from an SV-27! That's only .150", you need a 1/4" cable.
I have to ask this, what hull are you planning on putting the weedie into? It might be too heavy for it.

its a vwry light abs hull, i just want a little fun project. im not looking to go anywhere near as fast as my sv27 and thats why i thought i could youse that cable because i had a spare lying around, will it not work?

No - even a 3/16" cable is likely to fail with the torque of the motor. 1/4" cables work perfect.

so a weed wacker motor has more torque but less rpm right? and if i go 1/4 i can just cut the flex shaft thats already in the weed waker? then how would i put the prop on? and what prop? i want to use like a 15cc motor or lower

You would need a ferrule to join the flex cable to a stainless steel shaft.But ABS and gas dont mix very well [X(].

Oh yeah... Forgot abot that, oh well lol its a junk hull so if it runs cool, its not going to be a performer, maybe ill coat the i side but i dont want it to get to heavy,

There was one manufacturer who made thick ABS hulls but they flex too much.
Lots of luck on finding a 15cc or smaller gas engine as even the weedies really don't go less than 17cc and they're really weak performance-wise. MECOA/K&B had one but it's not cheap.
