RE: 48in mono hull scratch build
here are some new pictures with the tuned pipe, it turns out to be very tricky to get tuned right but seems to run good when it is dialed in.

RE: 48in mono hull scratch build
Thanks for that bit of info about the shaft fitting the engine. I've got a homelite project that I'm getting rolling at the moment. How do you like that drive system? What is your water pick up for your exhaust cooling? Could you put a close up of that part up?

RE: 48in mono hull scratch build
can someone send me the plans.

ORIGINAL: enrgizerbunny Thanks for that bit of info about the shaft fitting the engine. I've got a homelite project that I'm getting rolling at the moment. How do you like that drive system? What is your water pick up for your exhaust cooling? Could you put a close up of that part up? overall i like the drive system, it works perfectly for what im using it for. the stuffing tube was very easy to bend to my desired curve by hand (it comes straight) just to be safe i filled it with sand to keep it from collapsing on itsself. the hardware is all included and install was a breeze. my only small complaint was that i didnt have quite as much turning responce as i was hoping for but it was still very driveable. i made a biger rudder which just ended up causing severe cavitation when at full lock so im just going back to the one that it came with. that water pickup just shoots water into the header to cool the pipe, im not even sure if its even working half the time but my header came with a hole in it so i figured i would use it lol |

RE: 48in mono hull scratch build
yep i just printed out the pdf's at a 1:1 scale and tapped them together, its pretty painful but hardly the most difficult part of the build unfortunately lol
