Challenger 48"

I purchase this boat 2'nd hand for about 4 mounth ago. Nerly finished (all things un used) for a realy good prise.

The projekt goes slow due to winter and ice.

Engine: Zenoah 26 PUM
Pipe: Un known, I think it is a China black-coated pipe.
Octura rudder and strut.
1/4" Flex cable.

What i have done so far?
I have installed radio box, servos, fuel tank, hatch fittings and a bracket for the pipe. Fixed gelcoat cracks and puted primer on it.

What left to do? The paint job and then re-instal all the hardweare.
Realy thinking of having the boat only primer paint, but I think i gone get bored on it in some time. And it gone be hard to see. But it loocks realy angry right now.
The paint gone be blue with blue flakes. And on that some flame work. And maby some other airbrush touches.

Gone post some different pics frome the projekt.

Here is all the pics

What is the CG of your mono?

Krille 01-14-2008 02:36 AM

RE: Challenger 48"

I dont know where the CG is or should be. Have not checked it. I just asumed that it should be where it is. The erlier owner had mount the engine. And he hase mount it in the same place as a frind of he that has one of that boats, and he have also driven RC boats for a whild. But when I have lifted the boat it seems that the CG is pretty much as other boats.

RE: Challenger 48"

The CG should be 33% of its length, about 16" for your mono that from back of the transom to center of the plug.

OK, you're officially blind then :D Time to hit the wife up for a new monitor, it's there, attached to what you are calling a stainless shaft, skeg on the bottom.....

Nice blue Krille, bit more response here than the Swedish site eller hur?

RE: Challenger 48"

Hi i wasnt sure if that was just the metalic paint then you were adding flake to the clear sorry, looks good will look better when its cleared for sure. What sort of air brush do you use was it expensive.

Krille 02-11-2008 05:15 AM

RE: Challenger 48"

Ok then i understand

I use an aztec 470 airbursh, cost about 70$
Its not that expensive and realy good. I have seen PRO's paint with it and i know its not the airbrush thats the limit :)
