I'm currently looking at trading a rolling chassis snowmobile ( real, not rc ) for an RC boat. Just wondering what its worth.

Guy said its an AeroMarine 36" Sprint Cat. Has an OSMAX .46vr-m racing engine. It's RTR with extra glow plugs, props, and rudders. Also comes with fuel and starter and glow plug igniter. Said its in great shape. Whats one of these worth?

also thats an out of production OS 46 engine (from the 1980s i believe), the newer os 46 has a blue square head not saying it wont run good just may have problems finding parts- from the look of it its an older hull all the way around, its worth what ever your willing to give but resale you may have a hard time finding someone to buy it later if you dont like it due to age

Thanks for that. Didnt even know he was on RCU. He responded to my ad on CL.

So what are we talking for about price. I'd probably on use it a couple times ( winters approaching ) and sell it. Im trying to make back my money on the sled ( $500 is what I'd like to make ). Realistically, how much could I get for it this week.

be hard pressed to get it sold fast with the economy the way it is and winter time here, Ill say this, if you can get 500 from your sled you better just sell the sled and hold off on the boat, realistically back in the day that was a 1000$+ boat to build, by todays standard its worth about 1/3rd of that (if you can find a buyer)

Realistically, I do not see $500.

I paid $150 for mine, everything included less engine.
I have never made money on any of my boats, and I don't think anyone ever does, unless you got a great deal, than you could.

I would pass if your looking to get equal value of 500 on your trade. IMO I would offer 150-200 on that boat, thats if I wanted it.
