Ive done a ton of prop work to and I would also like to know what a prop "scratch pad" is, 320g on up as far as sand paper goes.

Hi
He's prob talking about a scotch brite pad http://sigmasupply.shoppkg.com/shop/C3734.aspx you can get the green ones at just about any supermarket........ in the dish washing section
The red ones are much much better.....should be able to get them from a metal polish supplier or auto body shops
Wozza

Cadillacman,
The confusion started with you're misunderstanding a suggestion on the other thread. The person who mentioned using a scotch brite pad was suggesting you use this to roughen the bottom surfaces of your hull that come in contact w/the water to lessen drag.

I haven't tried Scotch-Brites on props yet but have used them for paint prep on hulls, more so on epoxy-glas. What's cooler are the pads with the sponge backing if you want to use them for wet sanding.
