Not sure Blackout, I was searching for records and that was one of the links that came up.
It was a paper for the hall of fame and it had several pages of people listed and there contributions, etc.

Tether........hahaha
I remember when I was a kid of getting dizzy going around in circles with planes we had on nitro.
Doing loops helped slow it down.

For some reason the black& red and the yellow riggers looks like the crapshooters or first gen eagles..just by looking at the sponsons..heres a crapshooter with a different cowl then yours. whats the lenght on those rigger? If there 36" or close to it,then there 40/60 rigger. Was told by the IMPBA pres to run a .67 in mine.

RE: Questions about type of boat
I bought these at an local auction house that had mixed in an estate from a guy that had really been into this.
From what I was told, he used to travel to race them. This would have been in the area of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

What cought my eye were the "boom tubes" or lack of. Josey's boom tubes are what are used today. That is what told me that your riggers are older.... With riggers, there are fine details in the sponson design and hull angle of attack that can make two hulls that look alike handle completely different.
