Default Questions about type of boat

What type of boats are these? not the V-hull......

I pulled these out of the garage and I am going to sell them all cheap asI do not use them anymore.
These boats are wicked fast. They were made by some professional guy and I ended up with them.

To give you perspective, the V-hull is 48"

3 of the are Pico 90's and the little one is a Pico 65.
I was just writting an ad for all of it. There are two controllers, starter, charger, balancer.
There is a whole box of extra parts used and new.

I need the space. I also have a gallon and a half of Nitro fuel sitting there.

The Vee hull is not a Dumas. Not sure from that shot but it looks like it's a glass hull

Thanks for the reply's.

I know for the riggers, I went to youtube and watched some. I would have to say according to what I saw, these would do around 80 plus mph.
I am no expert with RC stuff at all, but I am with speed.

80+ might be a little optimistic. It depends if they are truely setup correctly with good props and such.....

Yes, that looks to be it! I also measured wrong for it. It's 46 not 48. I added in the trim tabs on the back.

Those riggers won't do 80 except maybe down a greased mineshaft. They're from the late `70's to early '80's and at that time it wasn't easy to hit 80.
The price isn't bad for the lot but I'm guessing that whoever buys them is going to have some work to do to get them up and running again. If there is any radio equipment in them, it's outmoded and illegal to run as it would no longer be FCC legal.

To those that are considering buying these, remember that it's against site rules to post any offers in the forums. Actually, the price in your last posting shouldn't be there.
Too many of this type of "What's it worth?" threads turn into for sale ads.

That is alot of assumtions you have there.

You don't know me and your even guessing at most of what I have.

Two of them can be run right now. Just the starter, charger balancer and motors for parts are worth multiple times of what I am asking.

And besides, I do have a boat that gets over 80 on gps, but I am afraid at 30 ft, it might run yours over.

You made quite a rude post as far as I am concerned.

And just in case you make assumtions on my go fast boat, here are the engines for you.

I never said that they were a bad buy as I do know approxiamately what they're worth. I also have been around this hobby long enough (30+ years in boats) to know how far they've come. Note that I also said "guessing" and that was an assumption. You only guesstimated the boat's speeds by watching You Tube videos. You don't even remember what you've got there and had to come in here and ask.

Anyone know what the F-hydro IMPBA SAW record was in the early 1980's?

I guess maybe you've not come as far as you thought. The F Hydro which was mentioned above record was set 10 years ago and with all the new technology in the world, it still stands.

Are you try to tell me that the record gained from the 10 years prior or even twenty with a stretch gained 40 mph? I will call BS on that one.

Do your research a little. I did.

You want a youtube video? Sure. You come down here, I will borrow you a camera. You spend your time to do it, that would be why I have not got to them for several years.

Your hulls are old, like Ron says. If you want to do research, try to find out what were the records back then. I don't know and nothing cane up in my search. It is difficult to get a hydro over 80 mph, even with today's hardware. Everything has to be just right; prop, strut angle, engine tune, pipe tune, hull setup, etc.... Andy could give me one of his hulls, and I would not be able to make it fast.

But it's moot, your deal sounds like a good price regardless of top speeds....

It's not chrome, it's polished aluminum. Give the guy credit. If he was into chrome, all his pulleys would be shiney and they are not.

Look at the hall of fame.

They were over 100mph in the 1950's if that reads right on a few of the guys.

Ok, I guess I was thinking chrome plated sleeves. lol
If you want to talk about my big boat, those are 472's with just under 500 hp a piece.
As far as the video remark on that one, you send 700 dollars for fuel in the boat and my Dually for the day, and you can ride for free!
And I will still provide the camera.........

Is that straight line radio control or tether racing? There would be a difference.

Those were tether boats, not RC. Some were even flash steam powered.
