Default OPS .67 nitro marine engines help

I just received a boat that has twin OPS .67 nitro marine engines. I need to know what nitro percentage the beasts run, and if anyone has a manual that I could view that would be even better.

10 to 60% Nitro ... it's up to your wallet :-)

With 20 > 30% you're in the ball-park.

But be sure of MINIMUM 15% (12/3) oil .. (I prefer 18% (15/3) for bronze-bushed conrods)

Even new OPS'es don't come with a manual ,

so fire away here with all your questions.

Thanks, how about cool power 30% heli fuel? It's 22% synthetic oil. Traxxas 33% is 16% oil. I stock both of these. Is 22% too much?

DONT run the Traxxis for what ever reason i have lost two engines while running that fuel and i have been running nitro for 25 years in my larger marine engines i run 20% -30% nitro as there is noreason to go higher the heli fuel is ok but fuel with 16% -18% oil works best

O'Donnell-boat-fuel is 17% all synthetic ... I'm not fond of pure synthetics .. ,

I prefer 2 > 3% Castor as a 'safe-guard' , that didn't hurt my engines in 50 years.

On your side of the pond .. buy [link=http://www.klotzlube.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BC%2D175%5FPint&cat=8]Klotz-BeNol[/link] and add 2%.

You could order some 30% Grimracer fuel. That is 23% oil, full synthetic.

I have used Omega 25% and 40% with good results. That is 17% oil with both caster and synthetic.

I add 2 shot glasses of that to 40 % nitro. Your bearing will last longer. If you have a club nearby then join you'll get club prices on fuel, plugs. You'll get some good help and meet some new Friends

Red Max 50=60% nitro if you are racing an OPS 21-80. Make sure you get MARINE fuel, car or plane fuel will make your rod disintegrate for sure. I'm everything OPSI love them for the money.

When Traxxas tells you not to run that fuel in a boat thne that has to tell you something.

Neil. remind me not to do shots at your place!

Cool, don't need one now, but maybe in the future. What is the price? Thanks.

This is your best bet. 40% nitro with at least 18% oil.... Red Max is quality stuff. Same mix every time
Been using it for years. Idles nice and cleans out on the top end.
