Default Novarossi 46 is HERE!

Friends, the new Novarossi 46 marine engines arrived last Thursday. For those of you who haven't been following the progress of the prototype testing discussions on IW...there is simply not enough good things I can say in a single post here. Please ask any questions you may have and we can get all the info here on RCU.

Some general information:

- Price is $400
- the motor is the strongest 45 size motor we have ever run!

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions (210 392-2271)

Will the price come down some time. Because jees that is not cheap. Considering a gas motor cost nearly 200USD less?

You're kidding, right??

$400 is cheap with today's crappy dollar.... Look at what CMB's cost new. Gas is comparing apples to oranges. Those are weedeater motors...

Sorry $400 is definitely not cheap. Even with the crappy $ as you put it. True a gas motor is based on weadeater motors but if you look at the amount of parts making up a gas motor compared to amount of parts in a Nitro motor it is madness what these engines can cost. And sorry don't get me started on CMB. My brother has been racing CMB for 15 years and if I look at the amount of money he has spent on them it boggles my mind. And he can still just go around the oval same as any other boat all be it a whole bit faster. The fact is that because guys are prepared to pay those amounts the suppliers keep asking it. They can make it more affordable but why should they? You are prepared to pay it.

i love Nitro motors and would run it more but not at these costs. Have a TC31 with a Go .28 in it and have bucket loads of fun with it at about the same cost of this motor alone.

Not trying to stir any pots, but the currency exchange rate does affect the price of Italian goods sold here in the US.

To illustrate Blackout's point...

The US dollar is currently valued at $0.80 vs $1.30 for the Euro. Simple math tells you that this engine at $400 US dollars would actually cost $320 if the US dollar was worth $1.00

But to stay on topic...The motor looks like it RIPS !!! Good job NovaRossi !!!

It looks like it could be a bit of a beast. And Glen always supplies great motors. The 21 we have is a little animal and makes the rigger scream in pain when we run here.

The nova CMB A/A are all race engines (nova being the cheapest of the 3) so when comparing them to gas engines you might want to compare to the $500+ modified zens as in racing (at least here in the USA) your wasting time and money trying to run a stock engine in any class other than thunderboat

A CMB .21 will cost you $425.00 which to me is a little on the crazy side. The Nova Rossi's have been for a few years now the best bang for the buck. The NR .12 is a real bargain in today's world of RC, the marine version a steal compared to the one that's being put in RC cars and trucks. This engine has been setting record all over the place, in Australia it is now the fastest nitro boat ever (around 145 MPH and change) and Martin Truex Jr. making the fastest 1/4 mile oval run EVER!

Wow, 145MPH on that .45! So, how fast will an outrigger with a .12 NovaRossi go?
