Hey Guy's
I was at IW this morning bout 6:00 and read Tom's post on the general boating forum,
The site was normal, Checked in this afternoon and Tom has it blocked with a message.
Question is did something new go on that I missed?

Nothing new has happened. Tom just wanted a day or three away from some of the "stuff" that has been (for lack of a better term) polluting IW. While most members try to be helpful, a few have let personnal "issues" get in the way of the helping and good natured kidding that have made the forum fun and helpful to many, me included

Ahh Ok,
Ya know back in the early years of IW, I used to watch the forum for Tom when he went on vacation.
Yes I know me with moderator/admin powers.....Scary!
But we hardley had any probs. Now I will admit that as of late things have been different.
To me if a member is creating havoc on multiple posts, boot em and business as normal.
Just my spin on tha subject,

Tom should of just ignored the complainers that were PM'ing him. What kind of pansy would go crying to an administrator anyways?! Keyboard racing is what makes these forums fun!...

Yes he is serious, When he gets his fur up takes a while to calm down.

Glad I wasn't in the middle of making a sales deal or signing up for a race..... Tom needs to understand the importance of his site staying up all the time. Just ban the friggin complainers for a week.... You complain or break the rules, no IW for you!!

I don't know exactly what went down as I was at the Indy Masters race when we found out. I stayed at the same motel as Don Ferrette and Paul "Gooycheese" Bychowski so I hit up Don so see what happened. He had no idea but suggested a few things, mostly 2 ego's clashing might have set things off.
I've been a member there since 2000 and after a while we all get to know one another, just like on this site. There are those that you can mess and kid with then those who you either don't know how to take or those who can't take a joke. What I heard may have been was two "experts" having a clash of theories that got ugly.

I got in on tha tail end, Some banter bout 2 stroke theory, Didnt read the whole thing.
David W. posted a cool vid of his rigger, I comented he got awfull close to tha bank.
We were laughing bout it, I logged out, Guess later something occured and Wham!
The guilty party was suspended 180 days........
