    Prather Lapcat III Steering Cables?

Hi I have a Lapcat III with a K&B 11cc outboard. Anyone know if the steering cables are still available? Thanks

Sure! Du-Bro makes a steering kit for the Lap Cats. A LHS has a set on the rack I was at last week which was kind of surprising as they usually don't have much of anything for boats.
You can also use the cable kits from Du-Bro or Sullivan as they'll do the job.

Thanks Ron, I appreciate it. I may first try to just solder the cable into the brass part. If that doesn't work, I'll order a new cable.

There's several ways to set up a steering system on any outboard motor so it's pick your poison here. I've seen it from as simple as a single 4-40 rod on a .21 to a 2 rod setup, flexible cables and Kevlar thread.
