Default Modified or stock? What's the soup du jour for glow plug engines in boats?

I know gas engines are all the rage right now, but us "old fashioned" glow plug guys like our slimy glow engines... It seems the high end Italian stallions are not being made or are limited production/availability or just not made anymore (like OPS, Picco, Novarossi, or even K&B).. So I ask - what are guys using for inboard glow plug engines in boats these days? Are guys running those engines stock and just piping them or are they running modified engines?

Just curious..

Okay, let me see if I can sum it up:
K&B-Pretty much made of unobtainium since MECOA bought them
Novarossi-An Italian import, contact Ron Shaw http://www.novarossi.us/
Picco-Don't know of anyone running or selling them
OPS- Like the Picco, don't know of anyone selling or importing them
MAC-No longer produced, as far as I know
OS-Down to just a .21 outboard unless you mod a plane or buggy engine
CMB-Another Italian import, contact Stuart Barr - no website -E-mail: [email protected] catalog: http://www.cmb-motori-italia.com/Engines.html
AA-Imported and sold by Alan Hobbs from Italy. http://double-aceracingproducts.com/catalog/
Supertiger-Tower Hobbies sells a .18 and a .27 inboard
If anyone knows more about any other manufacturers or can give more info on ones listed, let me know and I'll update the list accordingly

Thanks fellas. I have a little more info to go on now. I'll see if I can turn my rickety old Graupner Arrow boat into a plastic rocket.

HJ - your welcome!

As to answer the thread question, the NR's are setting new records straight out of the box. No mod's required. The AA's and CMB are worth of being looked into also.
