Try www.offshoreelectrics.com as Steve used to sell them cut to length. It's .150" cable so you should be able to get a cable and cut it to length if you need to. You'd might as well get a new drive dog while you're at it, the AquaCraft one can be a pain to remove.
I had the nitro version and yes, it was a fun little boat. Steve also sold adjustable trim tabs for it also as the stock ones are very difficult to bend. Whether or not he still carries them you'd have to ask.

Thanks for the link. I've been trying to rebuild an Aquacraft Nitro Hammer and some others.

OK, just watch trying not to over-prop the boat. It was taking more prop than it should have but handling really suffered. It also helped it to toss a connecting rod as they're not very strong in the stock motor.
When I got mine it was 4 days before it hit the market. There's a thread way back in here somewhere on it, try doing a search.
It was a fun little boat.
Here's my son beating on it. The video plays twice.

Man nice video! That really runs great. I have a Nitro SC27 Brand New in the box. Never have run it yet. Just getting back into the hobby the last few years. What kind of prop did you go with?

Thanks for the info Ron I will keep it in mind when I get ready to run it. Just finished my Tug retrieval boat so now I can run my nitro's. Just need a place to run nitro here. Most ponds now don't let nitro run there.
