Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone know of who makes a cable collet (Flex hex) for the O.S. .15 CV-MX? The thread size is 5mm and I need it for a cable size of .187 (3/16). Does anyone know if Prather makes these to fit this engine?

The only manufacturer of one in this size that I know of is Octura. A 3/16" cable is overkill for a .15 . I use the 1/8" on my .12 powered boats with no problems. Hughey does make a cable with a 1/8" cable and 3/16" shaft for use with larger props.

Hey Ron,

Thanks for the info. So I'm assuming that I should go with .130 (or 1/8) with a stub shaft of 3/16 for more prop sizes. You mentioned Hughey makes these cables, do they have a website? I'm up in Canada and need to find out where I can purchase running hardware if my LHS cannot get it in for me. I might be able to do online sites, but have no Credit Card. Any other manufactures that you could think of would be appreciated.

Try Chris Fine at http://www.finedesignrc.com/hardware.asp . Most of my other contacts are heading out now for the IMPBA Internats. He has what you need, including the flex cable collet.
