What little that I know about them I'll share with you. They are a plastic hulled boat and are fuel-resistant, not fuelproof so clean up any fuel spills ASAP. They also share a lot of parts with the CEN Racing line of boats which makes parts and upgrades easier. The stock props aren't the best in the world so I'd start by replacing that. The Kyosho engines like the nitro so don't be shy if you want it to scream but use the good stuff made for boats.

I had one but sold it last summer. I trimmed the hatch cover and installed a Mac 2.5cc header and pipe and she was a rocket after that, could not believe the difference in speed. I cut the hatch so that it was basically open but still had the windshield part intact. Hope this helps.

I have had three of these fun little boats (still have two) the first thing to do is to clear coat the hull inside and out you can put the stickers on first the clear wont hurt them this keeps the fuel from damaging the plastic over time. Next is to put the trim tabs with the turn fins on them (they are small metal ones) because this boat will spin and somtimes flip over when turned very sharp. And then get rid of the stock prop asap.

RE: nitro viper gt
ya i put ome clear coat on then i fiberglassed the inide under the engine becauses there were some cracks there since i bought it used i then fiberglased the bottom for more protection and then sanded it down i am painting it tonight red with black flames and i made some custome airscoops that i think look real good outta stanless on the weekend i clean the wole motor which took me abbout 3 hours for never taking apart one before now it runs great will start on the first pull the only problem now is my radio systme like in my other thread i stated that he sent me the wrong one so i think im just guna buy a whole new systemalso where do u put flotation on it there is none inside the hull and since the hull is sealed i cant place any... there is only about an inch or so of styrofoam in the two guys on the hull.. and theres not enough room to put it on anywhere so im afraid if i run it i will sink it also it didnt come with trim tabs so ill guess ill have to buy then extra also i dont htink it is the stok prop it looks very close to a traxass nitro v prop not sure how that will run ill gues sill have to try it out once i gte my raddio goin

RE: nitro viper gt
Alex, here are a few more pics of the viper. The run times I would geuss are about 10 mins or so, as far as speed goes, it is not a speed demon but it goes faster than most electric boats do, I would have to say somwhere around 20-25 mph (just a guess). The boat is alot of fun and the motor is very reliable, I have been using Blue Thunder 20% fuel in my motor. When you get your boat painted post some pics here.

RE: nitro viper gt
Question, Where does the exhaust go? I see where the muffler is and a pipe goes thru the engine compartment. Does it come out the far side? I bet a tuned pipe would make a big performance difference but might be a bit of a pita to put in so it looks good.
