RE: SHOW OFF YOUR BOATS
The hull is very solid I dont have any bulkheads in it but i did glass the deck to the hull they are a bit on the heavy side but he will do a light lay-up if you ask. I would buy another hull
from him. The only thing I did not care for was the deck had a lot of overhang but once I glassed the inside i ground the outside flush and regelled it so so . It will be painted over next
winter. All in all good boat for the money mine was $ 31.00 not to bad.

One of these days we'll meet up Bob.
I got a group shot today at the Fun Run minus 3 of my boats that stayed home. I got the two .12 monos scooting finally to my surprise and that of others that snickered at them! The Sport 40 hit the water for the first time. The water was too rough for it but for the short time on the pond, it was scary fast!

RE: SHOW OFF YOUR BOATS
We held our annual Fun Run yesterday and that's where that shot came from. We had a few electric and gas boaters show up along with a bunch of nitro burners. Keep an eye out for the next few days on www.rcflix.com for pix and videos. We had about 30 or so people show up throughout the day.

RE: SHOW OFF YOUR BOATS
Picking a name has to be something that says that it's you. My first boats were Wet Paint Racing, a name I got from a sign at work that I thought kind of had a double meaning. Now I'm Turn 6 Racing Team as that seems to be where I set up at races. After last weekend, I got to thinking about Hydrophobic Racing as my boats seemed to stall just as I got them near the water. When I raced buggies and trucks, my wife, son and myself were Bad Influence Racing.
Myself and 2 other people have boats called the Hammerhead .12 plus there is an electric boat called the Hammer Head. With the Hammer and the Nitro Hammer thrown in, it gets to be a mess.
Great looking boat by the way.
Feel free to use any of the above names. If you like Turn 6 Racing Team, I already have some decals Laser cut in 2 fonts.

RE: SHOW OFF YOUR BOATS
Here is my baby... Almost got her finished up.
The boat started off a wreck, with a pathetic OS .10 that could barley spin the prop. So after fixing leaks and motor mount problems I threw in an OS .12 but still I was disappointed with overall speed SOOOOOOO... I pulled the OS .12 out and in went an XTM 247. After much custom work to the motor mount and exhaust I found the stock cover would not fit, so I rebuilt the cover from the ground up. I decided since so much work had gone into it this far I might as well change the steerable outdrive to a fixed outdrive. I installed an aluminum rudder, with a fixed prop setup. I machined custom adjustable turn fins and trim tabs (the adjust using an aluminum hinge) also the transom was covered with a polished stainless cover (weighs almost nothing) the bulk head on the transom where the water lines pass through, and the water outlet on the side of the boat were both replaced with custom machined billet aluminum, as well as the plastic scoop right in front of the cover. The transom was reinforced with plywood and fiberglass, the stuffing tube and keel got the same treatment.
So as you can see a lot of work has gone into the boat and I want some people to run with. Any ideas? Below are a couple pictures...
How my boat started life...
How my boat is doing now (excuse my mess please)

Do you call that a mess? It's a good thing that you haven't seen my workbenches! No, I'm not going to post any pix of them either.
If you want to see one of my boats running, there are some videos of my Wild Thing .12 that was taken by OB Nut last Saturday at the Kalamazoo Fun Run. It's not running too bad for a new motor not being dialed in yet. www.rcflix.com

RE: SHOW OFF YOUR BOATS
Nice .... wanna see one of those "crappy" FORABUCK ( Vern Kilmer ) hulls running with a modded G23 with a 1148 jug ?
http://www.rcflix.com/photopost/data...2vernsCat.mpeg
( sorry for the lousey quality ... next one will be better . Had my 16 yr old take the vid and he messed with the video cameras settings [&o] )
GPS'ed with GARMIN ETREX . ( NOT the back of my cars truck either )[8D]
P.S. she still needs some "fine tuning" . this was only her second run ever .
