Well, seeing how you just started the thread a couple of hours ago, give the owners a little time. Over here, it's the time when most people are either working or at school.

As soon as I get the rust out of my brain! It's been 2 years since I've messed around with an Aqua Jet so I'm trying to remember what it looks like, if it was the same as the Grey Thunder that I had.

Tips, I've got a few.
I rotated the head so that the water intake line wasn't over the top of the carb, I just didn't like it sitting there as I had some weird fear of the line coming off and filling the carb with water.
Seeing how the radio gear isn't in a waterproof radio box, get a spray like Corrosion X, The Stuph or Aeroplate and squirt a few drops inside of the RX and servos.
If you want more run time, a Sullivan SS-4 tank fits right in place of the stock tank.
The stock prop is terrible so switch over ot Octura's X-437, X-438, X-637 or M-440 props.
The engine will take more nitro, I've run mine with 45% although I really don't advocate it.
The stock "tuned pipe" is really just a muffler and not much else. Look on the inside and you'll see what I mean. Upgrading to a Mac Products pipe will help there.
An Associated header will help to mount the Mac pipe but you have to do some serious cutting in the hatch to get it to fit.

Got 3 more qusetions:

1) Which mod´s do you recommend to du before driving the boats?
2) What can I do to make the boat balanced and not tipping over in a curve?
3) Which fueltank fits in the boats, because the stock one is to small?

Thanks, James

Look on the Tower Hobbies website as they have it. I'm pretty sure that the part # is 1110.
I'm trying to look up a picture of my friends boat right now to give you some ideas.

Then there is the problem of how you install it and what small parts are requested to be able to install the exhaust. Is there any kind of a plan that I can follow??

R/C Boat Modeler magazine did a hop-up on this very boat. You can go to their website and order the issue that it was in. Which one it was, I don't know. My wife moved a lot of my "Library" to the basement.

Honestly? For the price it's an okay boat but like most RTR boats, it does have its flaws. The big 2 are like mentioned above, the exposed radio gear and the fuel-resistant, not fuel-proof plastic hull. It's a boat that does its intended job and that's to be a beginners boat, one to learn the basics on. It's not designed for, just like most other RTR boats to be seriously upgraded as the hull can only take so much.

Ok, I´ve realized that I have to rebuild a little, put the gear´s in a waterproof box, is it easy to install? Second, what do you mean by"the fuel-resistant, not fuel-proof plastic hull"?

This is what it says :

This nitro powered radio controlled boat is capable of 30+ MPH with the included .16 or 2.6cc chrome sleeved engine. This kit includes a two channel pistol grip controller and all electronics pre-installed in the water resistant radio compartment. This boat features a semi deep Vee-hull with molded in SKEG which provides superior stability in rough water or on windy days. The included lifting strakes and cornering strakes will provide maximum performance no matter what the lake or river conditions are. The interior is reinforced to handle the included water-cooled marine engine. This boat will leave the competition behind with its sleek design and light weight construction. This kit includes a universal joint, foam flotation and complete colorful graphics package that give the boat attitude as you leave the competition in the dust. This kit comes almost completely built to get you from the box to the water in no time! All you need to get running is fuel, a glow igniter and 12 AA batteries. MSRP for this rc race boat is $388

It says "capable of", we've seen those words too many times.
Getting one from Steve Vacarro, it comes with an .18, good for about another 2,000 RPM according to CEN.
A waterproof radio box could be made for it using some lite plywood.
Fuel-resistant is just that. Don't let any spilled fuel collect in the bottom of the boat otherwise it will soften the plastic resulting in warpage or cracks. Clean it up ASAP. Take it from me, I know as the skeg on my Grey Thunder and the area around it got a little bent out of shape.

Here are some of the mods ive done on my Aqua Jet
1) Installed Sullivan SS 6oz flex tank
2) O.S. .18 CV-R-MX Engine
3) Wrapped the reciver in a balloon & Installed a Duratrax Micro Failsafe

Also dont belive the 30mph claim, It will only do about 25 with the stock engine

As you can see from Jesus' shot, there is no radio box, just a platform for the radio gear to sit in and on.

Thanks Jesus for the pictures. What do you think about this bout?

And I saw that all your radio equiptment was NOT protected with
a waterresistance radiobox, but in the subskription where I bought
the boat says that all radio equipment is pre-installed in the boat, well
I have to see when the boat arrives. Maybe they have done an uppgrade
on this boat now.

I can see on your pictures that you have 2 pipes connected to the tank, one
that goes to the engine, what is the other one for?

Well, does the boat act good on the water??

What engine do you have in your boat??

Easy to drive??

James

Yes, I saw that, maybe CEN has done a uppgrade for this model? When the boat is delivered I will show you
with pictures and videos of the boat!

Aside from putting in the batteries, slapping on the decals and fueling it up, it's pretty much ready to hit the water. It wouldn't hurt to check to see if the propshaft is lubed though, just watch out for the tiny grub screw holding it in place.
It would be nice if they did put a radio box in there because it needs one badly!

I have talked to the guys abouts the Aqua I bought from them, and they said there is an waterproof radiobox pre-installed.

Well we willl see about that. It can´t be that hard to build one otherwise. Are there plans for it on the internet where I
can download it??

No plans but it isn't that hard to build one. Keep it light using thin plywood and seal it with epoxy.
