the weight that its at with that motor should make the little sucker scoot right along! from looking at the pictures it looks like you are using micro servos for both throttle and rudder, if so the only thing i see that might give you trouble would be the rudder servo. Not sure though, if its a metal gear running on 5 cells might just do the job.

Looks great littlepiston. Keep the pics coming.
What plans did you end up using? Did you receive mine?
The servo might be a little weak for a rudder. I use something similar on my flat foamie although it has tons of speed and lots of torque for its purpose.

I use hs 81 on throttle for your rudder try what you have but I would at least put an hs81 mg on your rudder. Did I hear someone has plans to give out!?

If you haven’t put any clear on the center section make sure that you keep its’ exposure to the sun to a minimum. Most epoxies don’t hold up well to UV rays. Most people give them a light shot of clear to protect the epoxy.
Nice looking boat. I keep thinking that I am going to build a very small rigger with a brushless motor and light weight lithium cells, but it hasn’t made it to the top of my list yet.

RE: 0.09 rigger progres!
Hello,
first i have to say a real great work you've done and i hope she's running as good as she looks like! Now i have a question:
I have two of these .09 russian engines and i want to put it in an very small ( usually built electric ) hydroplane. I already converted the engine to watercooled marine engine but it has only a venturi and no carb for throtteling. What carb have you used ? What do you think about installing a exhaust throttle? Would it work?
Regards from Germany
Curt

curt, K&B used the exhaust throttle for a long time and it worked ok. have you been able to find out from the manufacturer if they make a carb for the engine? I will look for some info to send you.

Curt i used these two carbos on two diffrent but same .09 engines. i had to turn the neck down on my lathe to get them to work. i have two engine with with the pinch bolts on them,, but it is easy to make a pinch bolt ,you will need one"R" two

Hosting it is no big deal once you get one to upload, www.rcflix.com is now a legal site for us to use and it's all boat pix and vid's!
