Default Sk Daddle Questions

Well i know that theres got to be a few people out there that have build a sk daddle 36" dumas boat. I have one that is almost finished.. after sitting for awhile... im gunna get it done sooner or later... anyway... i'm using the standard dumas running hardware and i was wondering if i need to have trim tabs and/or a turn fin(on the bottom of the hull) I'm gunna use a k&b 40 engine... heres some pics...thanks guys...

I would recommend both the trim tabs on the transom and a fin on the bottom. I built a few SK-Daddle boats "Back in the Day." My SK-Daddle 21 had a Veco 19 and Kraft reed radio. I bet I'm the only guy on RCU who ran boats using a reed radio system. We're talking 1965 here!!!

Well, we both build boats using wood.
I can remember when 5-minute epoxy was the greatest thing since "sliced bread." And, when CA glues came along you could join things instantly - like fingers to frames.

My first boat was a free-runner, you set the rudder to turn it and hoped that it would run out of fuel near you.
I haven't seen to many SK-Daddles around lately, one person that I know of made his look like a blown drag boat.

It's been a long time since I built one too, but I seem to remember either the plans showing a template for the fin or it being in the hardware kit. It's really needed, otherwise the boat will just slide sideways and not turn well.
