Very Nice, I haven't run mine with the cover in a long time since I broke the tabs on the cover. I like running without the cover. And I soon will be trying a different engine so exhaust would prob dictate that I cut a whole so I prob wont ever use a cover again.

Nice work Hesco. I like the result. After reading an article in Rod and Custom mag, I decided to make a full foam mold, and just lay up over it. Then I just cut the foam out, trim, and here's what I've got. I still need to sand the crap out of it, bondo, sand more, then hopefully prime and paint. The electrical tape making the glass is just an idea of what it will look like.

Oh, and by the way, doing it this way cost under $50. The foam was $10 at a craft store, around $15 for the fiberglass cloth and resin and $10 for bondo from Home Depot, then sand paper and other little odds and ends that does with a project like this. Just FYI.

That came out quite nice. Try not too use bondo its so damn heavy. I us a filler primer which is light. its takes a bit more time and a lot of sanding but the weight extra is not so much.
