Default electronics

Does anyone run digital transmitters/recivers in their boat? is it necessary if i start racing? im looking at the spectrum dx2 and the jr 2 channel radio

No, digital radio systems aren't required or really needed for racing unless you want to spend the money. I would at least use a decent FM system though but that's me.

as ron said thers is no mandatory digital requirement. I also use just a nicer quality FM futuba but hitec an jr have similiar systems for under 100. This is the one I use

its basic gives good range an is super easy to set up the micro reciever I thought was a throw back from my electric heli days an thought I wouldnt be happy with it but so far no worries use it on my 50" beater gasser a sv27 an soon my new 30" cat.
