no, i wasn't aware of that. i'm a newbie to boats, and not racing yet, so a lot of common knowledge is news to me. thanx, anyway. any suggestions, and i'll stop hijacking this thread.

RE: mixing nitro content
I have used Wild Cat Helimix in the past for my boats with zero problem. We are now using WildCat PROMIX 35% Nitro, it has 18% oil content, 95% synthetic and 5% De-gum Castor racing oil.
Nothing but good results so far.

Thanks Dan S
Also Russ Williamson PM'd me back (7/18/07) to advise that adding 7-8% oil to car fuel I have would work. Thanks Russ.

RE: mixing nitro content
well guys, let me tell you this, O Donnell is GREAT fuel, but like my bud Grim said, if its car fuel, its your deal. Add castor oil to it if you wish, to be on the safe side. Also, Byron, is to me, the best fuel out there. I simply love it, and will not run anything else. I was an ODonnell guy, and they make great fuel, but for me, my "hot sauce" is Byrons boat fuel, 60% nitro, 18% oil
