Default Should I keep the miss bud paint scheme??

I was think on repainting My Miss Bud.21??[&:] I dont know if I should keep it orginal or change it?? Was thinking on Formula or Oberto. You dont see hardy any Oberto 1/12 hydro's?? Just the Chinese version and there paint scheme isnt right. If it's the Oberto I'll do the tigershark version.[8D] Plus after I finally saw the movie Miss Madsion, I'm not very impressed with Bernie Little either!! Man, that man was very arrogant!!

Keep in mind that in the movies there has to be a bad guy or the one that the underdog has to beat. I personally hated that snotty little kid from the Bud team.

I vote to get the boat running correctly and to worry more about the mechanical side of it more, than the aesthetics.

Hay gooy!! If you dont have nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all![link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18MZZWSB11M[/link] my boat seams to run pretty good with a vegas motor with 20mhp winds! JWMods will do the .21 motor mods wail I'm painting the hull.Havent tested the boat yet since I added the.21 and Miss Vegas adjustable strut, rudder and flex cable to this hull.

Bernie Little was portrayed wrong in that movie. He sponsored my dad while he was running SST-45 and he was the coolest guy to hang around with.

I'm going to go with the Oh Boy! Oberto scheme too. I'm a sucker for Day-Glo colors on race machines. The colors tie into some famous racers other than hydros too, such as Ducati and Ferrari - lots of club racers use that signal red and signal green. The silver is lots classier than using the white that usually seperates those two colors.

Don't forget theres also a ton of 1/10th RC Car decals also you could look at for press-on sponsor stickers and copy one of those paint schemes. However, I dont think theres a hydro that shares any of the sponsors NASCAR uses....

Ron, as near as I can tell, the kid you referred to is supposed to be Joe Little, the one that shut down the Miss Budweiser team and sold off everything after Bernie died and AB pulled their sponsorship.

Misshydro, I tend to agree with Gooy on this one, get the boat dialled in then paint it. Nothing worse than doing a nice paint job and having to damage it. When you get the boat dialled in, I would like to see what you can do with the Oberto scheme. I might even be nice enough to post some of the pictures I have of the boat to help you out

Go with the Oberto!! Everyone has a Bud!! Although, I do respect the beer boats. he he.

Looks like it's zipping along pretty good in that video. I remember seeing other videos where it was a real dog.

The water is a bit "hard" for racing up here, so I have to wait until MAY!!!!

The only place I see is short is the cowl cover to the rear tail fin is short.[8D] The rear triples are gone now.I'd cut them off and now patching the hole where they were at now.Like the formulas hull.Oh the new Miss Elum is the same way to now.

Hate to say it, but F16man is right, your boat is too short from the sponsons to the transom. The Oberto is 30 feet long so your boat really needs to be 30" long, not 27 like it is now. You want more specs on the Oberto, it has an 87 inch wide tunnel, so you need to have a 7.25 nch tunnel on your boat as well

I wouldnt mind finding a recked hull and chop the back off and splicing,But to me that not worth that much work.I'd rather build a scale to have it super preficked. The only thing I did to this hull is ditching/cut off the rear triples like the formula's hydro so far.[8D]

Ok I found that 1/12 scale chinese Oberto and man I dont like that paint scheam at all.Found it on ebay.[link]http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-RADIO-CONTROL-NITRO-GAS-BUDWEISER-HYDROPLANE-BOAT_W0QQitemZ230211439856QQihZ013QQcategoryZ19166 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem[/link] I'll beat that paint job big time! The green on the Oberto isnt green metalic eather. That paint job is way off.The tiger shark version is the best!!

Ok I'd finished the rear of the hull where the triples were at! I'd just brushed the base color red on it for now.Still need alittle bit of fine tunning to do But I'll wait Until I get all the paint and graphics for it to fine tune those spots.I did this just incase the weather breaks and I can finaly test run this boat!![>:]
