Default NITRO fuel

Ok guys looks like it is going to be a tough season to find reasonable priced nitro fuel. Anyone have a source for 50% I am in Illinois and it seems everyone has car and heli fuel, not much on the way of boat fuel

Roy, it's that way all over as hobby shops only stock what they know they can sell.
If you have a boat club in the area, see if they go in on big fuel orders as I've gotten in on those before.
Finding 50% will be easier than finding nitro over that as there is this Homeland Security paranoia. I'm kind of glad that I bought some 65% before the price shot up last year at about half the going price now.
I don't know off-hand where you're at in Illinois. The northern part I'd try Al's Hobby Shop but in the southern part you can go directly to Wildcat and order from them.
With the expense now with fuel, glow plugs and nitro engines it's no wonder that people are getting into the "weedies".

F16man the problem with doing mail-order shipping your going to pay hazardous shipping charges..and that can be pricey.[X(] Like Ron said find a boat club or check to see if your hobbyshop can order it..

Ya mail ordering it would be out of the question, I do go to Al's hobby shop often. I do belong to a club but not sure if we can get a bulk buy. We were going to get from FHM but that seems out of the picture for the moment. Who knows I may have to consider getting into a weed eater boat? who knows

The problem with buying cases of quarts is that you pay a lot for it per quart but save money in Haz-Mat fees. Buy a 4-gallon case and you pay less per gallon but you get the Haz-Mat fee. I never figured out the costs if there is a savings or not in the long run.
