Owen 18, the m445 sharpened and balanced is the best prop for the tc31 with .32 dynamite! you also should take 1/2" off the front and bottom of your rudder and make it razor sharp! you will not believe how these two changes will increase the performance of your tc31 i'm hittin low 40's with mine!

Hey guys here are some pics of just my stock thundercat. Nothing too special, Reason for posting these is because I was hoping that someone could tell me the prop that is on it, I know it will be hard but just a guess is helpful. I was just wondering what prop they have from the factory.

Thanks

I ordered my B&S prop from OSE and it is AWESOME!I have ordered quite a few items from them and the ship FAST! You live in Canada and it may take longer....but they are a great source of high quality parts.

I used to have AOL Explorer and you could really mees with nosy people looking over your shoulder. You could flip over the whole screen or reverse it among other things.

i think the biggest reason the flex shafts have been breaking is that new runners don't know they have to leave a space between the strut and the drive dog.i've been running the same one on mine for 4 years.

aye no worries, there have been a number of problems with flex shafts going, i think ron and i covered most of the main probs....the one u mentioned BT was one that was brought up also....in my TC that i recieved used, i had to replace it, was unraveling and also rusted....the old owner left fuel in tank, had to rip the engine down and completely clean it as well.........i replaced the old flexshaft with a hughey...better quality, had to cut it down to the right size...easy task...still thinking about changing my engine this winter anyways, and save the dynamite as a spare...gonna try out the nova rossi T.35 i think....looks like a very promising swap....ron suggested the .21 ( i think it was in the shockwave thread tho)  so far no one's tried it yet as far as i know...

also, check the engine is aligned to the flex tubing because it is way off,,,and install an oiler or maintain the shaft lube..

I suggested the Nova Rossi .28 but I think that the .21 would really wake the TC-31 also. The .28 may be overkill in the hull but most likely an easier job of bolting it in. I would love to see one run with the .28 in it though., that puppy would scream if it could stay on the water!

Finally, glassing done to hull and hatch....removing the strut and rudder assembly, some gel coat pulled away showing fiberglass, so had to repair that Iused dowels in old rudder mount holes, sealed and then redrilled for new speedmaster gear...holes drilled for aeromarine quick lock mounts, drain plug hole sealed with 3 layers of fiberglass and resin, smoothed out with spot putty before redrilling both sides for autobailers... hatch is still drying atm, but added new dowel mounts in front, glassed them and back vent holes, 3 layers of fiberglasswhere i'll be redrilling for quicklocks. new vents will be drilled and cut out later this evening....will be out to a friend's for paint this weekend

and yet another picture... finally have the vents cut out, old vents not only glassed on inside, but spot putty filled on outside. was hoping to redrill for my quick locks tonite, but its going to take some time for the putty to cure...right now 3 layers of it...the vents will get covered on inside with screen after paint job is done...

Hey guys I received my prop today, ( well sometime because I was away for a week). But Anyway I just finished putting it on and I went to look at the pack and it said (M440), and I was like Damn it! So I was wondering if that will make much of a difference between the M445? Because I really dont want to have to send it back and then get a new one in like a month.

Thanks Owen

Yeah, that's way too small. Can't you find some place near Kelowna that carries them?

As an aside, I've got a buddy at work from Kelowna, a former Hockey player named Kevin Schamehorn. I know, the city probably has a ton of Hockey players there.

Take the prop off and check to see what number is marked on the prop. Maybe you will get lucky and the packaging is wrong.

Strange, usually it says it on the hub; right where the prop nut tightens against. You could measure to see whether it is 40mm in diameter.

The size should be right on the label with a dot next to what's in the package. It's the wrong prop dude.

If it's 40mm it's a 440 prop, if it's 45mm it's the 445prop.
