i saw a proboat 1.8 pullstart on e bay 109.00 would that be a good upgrade over the 1.5 in my formula fastect looks like everything would hook right up would this be worth doing anybody know

it will bolt right in,they used those to upgrade the older blackjack's that were equipped with the dynamite.15's.nice little motor for the price,but there are better ones out there though.the O.S.18 cv rmx comes to mind.

brian:as for your stalling issue,thats pretty normal until it gets broken in after a few tanks.i had the same problem ,just gave it lots of throttle when i threw her in....

looked at the os18 carb linkage on wrong side but i guess you just flip it around is that right and what about flex cable same size any other mods that have to be done guess i should try to break in 1.5 before thinking of upgrading engines already lol

I know bringing up an old thread, but is anyone still running this boat? I still have both of mine, 1 being used for spare parts, the other still running great, mind you its on its 3rd engine, but running and looking mint. took it out last weekend for the first time since last fall and it performed flawlessly. im still wondering what the top speed of this boat is, as I had it wide open for some serious straightaway passes, and it looks over 35mph. im running mine with a x435 s/b prop.
