ORIGINAL: apache 1
I thought I invented that way to paint a boat. Great minds perhaps think alike after all.

Ya, I had a pully system on the cieling like you and just lifted it up and down between coats. I did my big 57" apache this way. I never came up with a better way yet. I know of a guy who just stuck a broom handle through the transom like a rotisere, but I don't like that. I was thinking about spinning the arch around on mine too. Thought I could strengthen it up and use it as a launching handle. I've left it that way on the shelf until I'm ready to paint just to get used to it. I'm starting to like it. Still deciding on a paint scheme. I'm thinking metalic silver/gray with blue flames. Toying with the idea of a shark mouth like on a p40 warhawk flying tiger. Best maybe to leave it primer for a while untill I iron out all the bugs.
I'll just tell my buddies," thats not primer, ITSCALIFORNIASUEDE".

lol nice, the pulleys in the garage, I use those during the summer to hang my Tmaxx, cen genisis and my raptor 50 up to look at every time i walk through. figured it would be easy to string to the stringers to hang boats and paint em since it can hold a heavy 1/8th scale truck up.
