For those that don't know, we are going to lengthen the drivers stand from 16 feet to 32 feet long. It is 6 feet wide. There will be more room for drivers and the CD/judges. We are also adding a second stair way. A January thaw allowed us to start early....

Most likely, unless we can figure out a good way to build the CD station in the center and still have one stairs for up traffic and one stairs for down traffic. With the CD in the middle this get tricky since I want to build a nice enclosure to keep the CD out of the weather.

Here it is folks... The latest addition to the Zippkits lineup... This is a pre production kit of the V-Box.... Available soon... Took a day to build to this point.. Much like the A-Box, with a V bottom... Nice build, thanks Joe, I am honored to be amongst the first to build this.

Fast question on the V-Box, what engine was it designed to use? I have a G230 that I could drop into one, if it's got the muscle to push it.

Hi H/J..
It is the same size as the A-BOX, probably designed for a 23-26cc gaser with 5"mounts... I have no instructions yet as they were not printed at the time I recieved the kit...Propcircles had me mount a mod.23cc in his A-BOX I built for him, so I am guessing your engine should work.

Rick going back to the 45 twin build. Did you have the new alum posts that goes with the sponsons Joe said they are in the works And what dia on the boom tubes Here I thought they were alum boom tubes. Like the gas rigger.

HJ..a G230 should work just fine, especially for a sport boat. There is a little more case around it so fitting may be a little different than a PUM engine. I used to stick the G230 jugs on the 230PUM so I could get a 4 port transfers and about 5.5hp with a pipe. Even if left in its original 'air cooled' configuration they make decent power for a sport boat. When Warehouse Hobbies started using Zen's in their Enforcer ARR deep vee's (46 inch length) they used the G230 and G260 air cooled engines and they would do 40ish right out of the box. Roger C.

Hey Neil,
Yes the twin has alum boom tubes...and Joe sent me home from meeting with the inserts for sponsons... I think he made them up for this twin rigger for the shows the night before the meeting... they will be avail. soon... as far as size,O/D is .5 or 1/2" hole for inserts..boom tubes are alum. and are 3/8" O/D... Hope this is what you were looking for..
