Yup, 67 rigger would go in E/F classes.

10 trees now planted 10 feet apart to form a barrier between the pond and Smith Road. Planted roughly half way between the pond and road.

20 trees planted so far. 16 for the Smith Road barrier and 4 on the south end of the pond. And plenty of rain today.....

Only running 20 Tunnel and 20 Hydro in Elmira. Don't feel like getting anything else ready.

Rick, if you plant trees over the weekend, you can turn the water hose on at the house by the sun room. You just need to flip the knob on at the Y-connecter. You'll see what I mean.

Stony Pond was almost glass smooth today - muchbetter conditions than yesterday with the rain, drizzle and wind.
Got the 12 boat going good today - thanks to Mark and his new retrieve boat:

Craig, the pond looks great. Congradulations on all the work you and everyone have been doing. It's really cool that you had a race there.

Nice retrevial boat. My retrevials are me swimming. You all took turns yelling at me for that so no need to do it again. HAHA.

Anyway, I know this is not the place for this but I wanted to check with the local guys for interest. I have a lot of airplanes that I need to rehome. I am not asking for anything in return however if someone takes them and has the knowledge and time to help me with my boats that would be greatly appreciated. More about that below the pictures. The planes are pretty old but I figure someone might be interested. There are two old hulls, a snowbird and a control line in the mix too.

Extra Boats: SK60 & a Quickie 40.

I've got four boats. A rigger and three point that are all set up and just need to be tuned (pipe and needle should be it). A third hydro that has all the parts but needs to be setup (Everything is just in a pile). The forth is a little SK that I have a .15 or a .35 to put in. I haven't made up my mind. If I could somehow use all my extra hobby stuff to get some or all of these boats on the water I'd be so happy(Help me swim less this year). Otherwise I just want them to go to a home where they might get used, smashed, whatever.

I don't want to hijack this thread so send me an email if you're interested in anything.

Eric,

I can help. Don't get rid of anything, not even a single part.
I can use some of that stuff, and I can certainly help you with your boats.

I will email you...

Joe

Joe has laid claim to the lot. Joe, you know this comes with a 'You take one you take it all' clause right?

That Snowbird was great when I was younger. My dad just told me to go nuts with it when I was 12 years old. 12 years old and running a .45 with a prop on it. That's safe. The motor used to be backwards but was overheating so when I was around 14 I shortened it and turned the motor around. I'm not sure I ever finished it.

When my Grandfather was my age, he and his neighbor took a biplane (a real biplane), cut the wings off it and put skis on it. They used to run it down Conesus lake. They ended up selling it to a kid on Keyuka lake who rolled it and dropped it through the ice. We started to build an RC replica of it but never finished.

42 trees planted so far, 9 more to go. Gonna try to get the last 9 planted on the south side in the low area. No water hose over there, but it's suppose to rain a lot tomorrow.

Neil, not sure what's the problem with your CMB 21 VAC. I thought for sure it would run good for you as it was looking good this spring, but now it seems to not stay running..... Have you ruled out your fuel system? Roger had issues with a customer's gasser and sure enough, after all the stuff looked at, it was a clogged fuel outlet in the tank setup.....

I'll pull the engine and recheck everything first. Then go with different pipe /prop combo If needed.

Gonna try to get my NR 5-port powerhead mounted up today for testing on the Vision tunnel. Get it broken-in so that I have 2 engines for that race boat. Spare engines are nice when traveling to big races like Ottawa.

Rick was running one of the long muffled pipes either from CMB or a copy, kinda like his NR muffled pipe before he lost it in the pond. It was 73 db off pipe and 77 db on pipe. We'll get all the results posted soon.

Got the gas JAE going halfway decent today (thanks to Bob S.- need to do some experimenting with props and pipe length to gain speed.  It tracks and handles good - too good - Cindy has joined Rick T. in the "Buoy 2 Club"  (Rick P being the charter member!).while trying to hang the buoys to gain any advantage to Neal's super fast gas sport hydro.

Due to Barbie''s previous owner moving west, she has decided to take up residence in West Henrietta to allow her to continue to compete against her New York / Canadian adversaries. She will be residing at the Barbie Urgent Care / Rehabilitation Unit in our garage until she feels up to tackling Stony Pond again. Here is a photo of Tom studying her injuries.
