Rochester Model Boat Club's race is now on rcracingevents.com. Race is located in Macedon, NY just east of Rochester. Dates are Friday June 6th Noon-Dusk is open water. Saturday and Sunday racing. Camping allowed on site, also Saturday night prime rib buffet dinner at site (Price TBA). Classes for all Nitro Riggers, Gas, and 4 cell electrics. We already have 49 boats! Race is registered on rcracingevents as IMPBA D1 Carey Lake Classic. Sign up today!

Hay guys, I`m sort of new and would like to join the Stony Pond Model Boat Club and not sure what I need to do?I live in Geneva, I`ve been to the pond once before.All I can say is out standing.I`ve just finished my first R/C boat,could probably use some advice.I`ve helped my brother with his for a few years.Anyway I`de appreciate any help you could lend.

Sorry we took so long is Racing Season. We have 2 clubs at the moment. Craig's Mapstone lives on Smith Rd Candandaigua. His pond is behind the brick house. You can see the drivers stand from Smith Rd. We are at Carry Lake this week as Craig's on vacation. Carry lake is on 414 South of Ontario Center 6 miles. We're going today at 1:00 takes me and Hr + say 2:00 our goal is RC boat racing IMPBA organized NAMBA accepted. You will need to join to race That's your insurance if something happens. We have some members that at just pond members. Look for me on FaceBook Neil LaGarry we will add you to the posts and get you going

Yes we are always looking for a few good men. We have members that will probably never race ,but come and have some fun. Our main goal is RC boat racing. What you got to run?

I`ve been working on a Zipp Kit easyvee off and on for quit some time ,haven't really haven't in the water much at all.Don`t have much pilot experience.

Bring the hull ,I've had one a few years back. We all started with no experience . Come on over and test.

So what's the plan for next summer? The wife and I are still planning on a June run to Springfield and Boston and will probably bring a couple of boats along. I doubt I'll bring one of the big boats, more likely be one of my Pak builds along with, possibly, the wife's Atlantic

We have 2 great ponds to run at HJ Your welcome to stop in a run some. Rochester is our future in CNY area. Depending on the time of the summer. Craig's has weeds he controls himself. The second site Walworth, NY . Has weeds until July

The way things look now, we'll be dragging our poor little truck and trailer into town for the weekend of 6/20-21. Anything going on or planned at this point?

HJ, I don't think any dates have been set for the Rochester Model Boat Club (Carey Lake) or Stony Pond (Canandaigua). This year we had a weed problem in June at Carey Lake. If there is a race that weekend I would guess that it would be at Brick Pond in Elmira. One of us in the area will keep you posted. Roger C.

I'll be watching for updates. One thing I will need to know is if there are campgrounds or RV parks close by Carey Lake or Elmira? If the schedule is for either of those sites, having someplace close by to park the trailer would be a bonus. If I remember right, Craig said I could park the trailer at his place, not so sure if that would still work if we're running someplace else

HJ, our race is reschedualed for this coming weekend. The owner of Carey Lake is allowing us to camp right near the pond. The restaurant has great food. If all goes well, I'm sure we will be hosting at least one more race next year. Weeks a bad until early July then they are gone. Hope to see you.

HJ I will look into a RV park. I'm not sure about Elmira. Our first ever race at Carry Lake in Walworth NY is this weekend. The pond has a weed problem in Mid May into July . Then the weeds die back. We have a few large RVs like Craig will park up in a rear parking lot close to the pond. Look up Carry lake LLC in Walworth,NY on Google earth.We have a State Park in Fair Haven. A 35 min ride. I will look closer to find one as I live near Syracuse in Baldwinsville NY it takes me 1 hr to get to Craig's or Carry Lake
