Anyone know where I can find a cowel for the 1960 gale v , I belive it is the same as the smirnoff , the front has a oval shape air intake, any help would be great.

If it was easy everyone could do it he he he ,,,, Idid see that web in my hunt also, I have emailed David Newton suppler of the plans but have not heard back. At least Rodger drew a nice pic of the general shape and I have some early pic of the full scale so it may be time to get out the foam and make it from scratch............. Thanks Ron for the time...

Don't count out David Newton just yet. He just got back from a trip and was at Seafair all weekend with his scale U-13. He will probably be getting back to you before the weekend. What you may have to do is buy a cowl that is close and modify it as needed to make your boat. The big question is does the boat have a high back or low back cowl?

I will have to break out the measurin stick and check but I think its the high one about maybe 4 in. or so.....
