Extintion of good airplanes ??
I´m looking for a good sport, slow, relax and acrobatic airplane; because I have a OS 55 in my hands without a plane. In my search I discover that many good airplanes are extinct or are very difficult to find:
Sig Somethin Extra ARF
GP Slow Poke
Dragon Lady
GP Ultrasport ARF 40
GP Venus 40
Cloud Dancer
Cemark graduate
h9 Advance
H9 Aresti
etc...
I know that maybe we have other models, like the H9 Pulse, but... 4Star ARF, CG Tiger2 ARF; are very difficult to find...
Only an idea...
Emilio
PD Sorry my english

GP Giant Super Sportster. I can fly mine at a walking pace and do slow loops and rolls at 1/3 throttle. Does slow-motion wing overs and graceful tail-slides, also. The H9 Saratoga 40 has a pretty wide speed envelope and is a superb sport plane. Just 'cause you've got power doesn't mean you have to unleash it.

If you're specifically looking for a home for the 55, how about a .60 size Ugly Stik. Again - slow is your choice on the throttle. Stiks have thick 13% chords and will slow down nicely.

How about a KAOS from Tower flies great, thick airfoil, slows down, and not too fast even with an OS 55.
If you will look redhead you would of seen he was from Mexico.

For my money the best overall plane for a Os 55ax is the Hanger 9 40 size stick, with the 55ax it is fast, and if you want to fly at a walking pace it will do it just as well and it is very agile.
I won a raffle for a Hanger 9 Tango and put a 55ax on it, again a pretty quick plane but it will fly slow and stable if you want it to..

thanks to all; I have one H-9 Saratoga, amazing airplane; and maybe I will buy one Toledo Special, the cub profile is really special. The problem with the speed is because we have a short runway and we are about 8,000 foot altitude ( in a mountain near Mexico city); I want a slow and relax landings.

Do you think something like the 40 size U-Can-Do would work for you?

With its thick airfoil it should be able to land on a short runway. Since it is considered a 3D plane it is built light rather than tough so it probably cannot handle a lot of hard landings.

I believe that was meant to compliment him on his English, and to point out how some Americans English on this site fail in comparison. As to an aircraft, the Sr. falcon is also a great aircraft for that engine. It will do just about anything that doesn't require a tight spin, but will slow down nicely. It's a versatile aircraft that is easy to tame.

Is there suppose to be humor in that? The only humor I see in it is that someone doesn't know the difference between then and than. I don't want to start a flame war, but I'm a little sensitive about making fun of someones' speech. When I was about 9 and moved to Georgia (I was an Army brat) my teacher sent me to speech class because I spoke with an accent; an English accent.

RE: Extintion of good airplanes ??
I second the recommendation for the ultra stick 40. I have enjoyed mine quite a bit. I have a saito 82 on it and it flies really well. With the quad flaps it can really land at a crawl. I would just suggested reinforcing the firewall and beefing up the landing gear area.

There are a lot of nice flying new planes that have been added to the manufacturers' lineups recently:
GP Revolver
GP Cherokee
GP Reactor
H9 Toledo Special
H9 Saratoga
Some of the planes that emilmendoza laments being unable to find may not be readily available, but close equivilents are:
Kyosho Calmoto 40 or World Models Super Sports 40s are very similar to Goldberg Tiger 2
Phoenix Models Dolphin is very similar to Sig Four Star 40
World Models Fun World 40 is very similar to Sig Somethin' Extra 40
World Models Spot On 50 or Groovy 50 F3A is very similar to GP Venus 40 or H9 Aresti
Kangke USA Sky Dancer is very similar to Cermark Graduate
There are still plenty of terrific aircraft available. We just have to be willing to give new designs a try while looking a bit harder for some of the classics.

Tienes un potente motor y segun los aviones de tu interes creo que el
GREAT PLANES REACTOR SERIA UNA BUENA OPCION.
Puedes hacer patron, 3d, simplemente pasarla bien.
En lo personal prefiero contruir.
Tengo un Slow Poke que ya no uso y no logro vender es una lastima tenerlo sin uso. Este si vuela lento.
Saludos
