Funfly biplane?
I'm looking for a funfly or general purpose biplane. SIG had one (Skybolt?) that may have worked but it's no longer available. Any suggestions other than the Ultimate?
Thanks

Bidwin,
Do you mean the profile fuse bipes? Sig had an Ultimate (profile fuse), and Global offered a Wacky Waco ( profile fuse). They had extremely thick airfoils and enlarged control surfaces.
The other bipes mentioned in this thread are wonderful flying planes, but they are built up fuse aircraft. The are great sport fliers, but no so much 3D.

RE: Funfly biplane?
I'm not looking for a profile bipe, Turbo, but one with a built-up fuse. I don't fly 3D (am happy to get planes up and down in one piece). I'm looking for a sport flyer that I can use at my club's bipe funflies. I prefer an ARF because I don't have a good place to build right now. The SIG Sun Dancer looks like a good choice, but it's no longer available. After I move I plan to have a decent workshop, then I'll go for the kits.
Thanks for your response,
Bidwin

I once had a Great Planes Super Skybolt ARF and it was a superb model. I'm still kicking myself for ever selling it.
I'd get one now because Tower/Great Planes seem to be promoting them less and less so i suspect when current stocks dry up they will be discontinued.

I have the GP Skybolt ARF and the GP Reactor bipe. Both are powered by OS 91 four strokes. Both are fun to fly, but the Reactor is even easier to fly than the Skybolt.

RE: Funfly biplane?
GP Super Skybolt! I found one on Craigslist locally, and picked it up for cheap. Ordered a new cowl, wheel pants, and went to work. Converting to a DLE 20. Just finished the install. Plane was very tail heavy with an OS 91, seems about right with the DLE 20. Putting the rx and electric equipment in today.
