Got to go flying today.
Hey folks. I got to go flying today and had a blast. It's been quite warm here over the last while, so I put skis on my Nexstar about a week ago and gave it a shot. Didn't work out well, as there was too much snow on my runway at home and the plane just sunk when I tried to move it under power. Borrowed a friends Bobcat, cleared the runway, then dragged an "I" beam around with the truck to get rid of the bumps and chunks. About +4 C today, so I was out there for about 2 hours, and I still have the Nexstar. Floats next. Maybe I'll dig a pond big enough. First photo, my beater. Second is my runway.

No. This isn't GA, or Jamica, but for me, +4C at this time of year is unbelievable. As for desolate, I own 80 acres,( 1/4 mile X 1/2 mile ) and my nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. To me, that is as close to heaven as I want to get right now.

In case you did not know, Styrofoam floats work well on ice, snow, water and on wet grass...don't ask how I know that...may have lived in Minnesota for a few years and flew year around.
Enjoy!!

Hi hobbychina. I hope the question was for me, as I am going to answer. The plane is a Nexstar, ( well used ) and the ski's are from Du-Bro. They will attach to the stock axels. Hope this is what you wanted.
Thanks
