Default Best prop for OS FS120 Surpass?

I just finished breaking in my OS FS120 Surpass with a 16X6 prop. Which prop would you guys recommend for the most speed? Its installed on a ModelTech Dragon Lady which slow downs and floats for landing, so I am thinking of a 16x8 or so.

Thanks

I went thru all my props and found a 15X8, so I will try it

On my OS120FS I had a 16x6 on my previous Extra, on my current Revolver, with same engine, I use a 15x8 for a bit more speed. Both are perfect for this engine.

Thanks. I did the break in with the MA 16x6 and left it there, but I will try the MA 15x8 after a gallon or so.

Best regards,
Ed

Hi!
The Master A is no good! Much better is a RAM or Graupner "sonic"...or APC. 16x6 or 15x8!
14x8 is way too small!

I have a 16x8 MAS on a CG Ultimate, a 15x8 MAS on a Yak-54. Both are not real fast, but seem to be propped just right for those planes, providing fairly constant speed in all attitudes. I think for speed I would go down in diameter an inch and up in pitch by one or two or more, and also go to APC props. Dunno for sure, just guessing. Jon

Hey Warbird, around 20 years ago I was running an APC 14/12 on mine. It was in my CG Ultimate biplane and it handled it just fine. Was fast for a biplane and still had unlimited vertical. I'm still running the same engine now in my Wildstick with an APC 16.5/5.5. I tried a 15/8 and a 16/6 but with both props it seemed to over rev and knock at full throttle. This engine likes to be loaded, so for better hovering I think I'll try a 17/5 next.
