Default Shoestring Plane

I just aquired an old 60 size Shoestring with a Magnum 91 FS. I am not sure on who makes it, but it's the usual yellow/red color with the #16 on it. This plane appears to be a kit not an ARF due to the way the pieces fit together and the glue joints....I have the following questions:

Who made this plane in this color scheme aside from GP
What prop should I use to keep speed down while landing
Where can I find a new cowl
Any tips you would like to share

Thanks!

You really need to post a picture for better identification, but Carl Goldberg had a kit of the shoestring with a 54" ws back in the 70s.....gene

For some reason it wont let me upload images......i will keep trying. But it's exactly like the Great Panes ARF (yellow with red trim, #16 in red and black numbers on the wings. I will swear its an GP ARF, but the joints on the balsa/construction lead me to believe its a kit.
