Well I rebuilt the plane and it went back together without too much trouble. Had to make a new elevator and replace a small piece of plank on the bottom. This time I changed the 440 rods to the rear with carbon fiber rods so now everything has been changed and updated. To answer a question above; there are clevis connections on all push rods.
Didn't have enough snow to take it back out since I rebuilt it and now it's spring so the engine is oiled-up and it's put away until next winter and I'll try it again. Maybe if I toss some garlic in the fuse while it's sitting that will cast out any demons inside !

That's great news and I sure hope for your sake that the rebuilt version has as long a life as the original did, meaning no more glitching problems.

Have you considered contacting the radio manufacturer??? They may have some advice or even an explanation. Could be something they're very familiar with.

When winter rolls around again and you get her up and running pop by and let us know it how it went. Sure hope it's only good spirits on board the next time around.
