Ugliest RC Airplane Ever!
This thread is devoted to the ugliest RC airplane. It is for any kind of RC plane. It can be scale or not. Any plane as long as it is ugly. The uglier the better. C'mon guys bring out the ladies you only fly when your alone. The ones nobody talks about. I know this may ruffle some feathers so if this bothers you go to another forum.
I would like to be the first to introduce the airplane I simply refer to as Ugly. It is entirely fiberglassed foam. It weighs a ton. It sports a Magnum 91 four stroker with a JB welded carb. It runs good. I did not build it so if it was you, please do not be offended. I got it in a trade. The tank is glassed in. All servos cut out of foam and glassed in place. Two pounds of lead hot glued and duck taped to the front. I think the tail is made of masonite and screw on hinges from Home Depot. It will be making its maiden today and I must say that I hope it is its final day. I hope to put it to rest hopefully in a tree or some berm at the far end of the field. I have checked it over and it is safe to fly. Everything is solidly mounted and ready to go. RIP Ugly. I will post pictures of the finale.

I got the Round Tuit at a swap meet for $20, figured the motor and servos were worth it. I may even try it some day. Had an Eagle 2 with a lot of Tuck Tape on that looked pretty nasty, but I recovered it. The coro one isn't RC, but kind of rates. Had it a long time, Kind of embarrassed to fly that one, works ok, but doesn't turn too tight. Don't think too many people will enter this contest.

Well it flew today. Very briefly. It took off nice and acted like it was going to behave. Suddenly it was like no radio. Ailerons got super sluggish and it began to turn to the left. Rudder had no effect. It finally stalled and drilled itself nicely into the ground. Nice loud pop when it hit. Engine was wide open when it went down. Totally Awesome!

My guess is the blocky wing support really made the rudder fly in dirty turbulent air.. It turned left? any chance the motor mount was broken on the right side and attached on the left? it was hard to tell if the firewall was just glued to foam or not. I would have thought it would have flown from the pics.. Not pretty but the proportions look about right.

Firewall was a block of nylon fiberglassed to the fuse. Was solid and did not even separate in crash.
All of the hinges were terribly sloppy. The rudder had only one hinge in the middle. I think it might have been a faulty receiver.
I range checked it but the antennae might have been compromised.
Fun to watch this one bite the dust.

Here's a coroplast, 8' span thing that got beat around here for a bit. And when I say beat around, I mean.....hung up in a tree, having to cut the tree down (and about 10 others) to get it down, among many bad landings on the snow/ice! Wheels are from a golf bag caddy cart. Poulan 46cc chainsaw engine powering it.
When the fuse finally gave up, it morphed into an aluminum downspout fuselage with an external fuel tank. ugly as sin, but flew!

eddieC, That looks like an oversized Guillows Arrow. Man I wish I had some pics of some of the monstrosities I've seen. We used to have one guy in the club that had a twin ugly stick made of 2 different makes of stiks. I remember it have duct tape holding parts of it together and two different engines.

It could be the Arrow. The original owner did have some rather 'unique' planes, including a couple that were covered with shelf paper and at least one that had brown paper shopping bags with dope.
