Next plane input...
I am an ultimate biplane guy.. At one time, many years ago I had 3 or 4 at the same time.
Now, back to the hobby for 15 years or so.
I love my DPM Ultimate, but want something simpler to beat up.
I like the looks of the Ultra Sport, Super Sportsters, and Escalade.
So, that I the style I am looking for. I am not a 3d guy... more of a loop, roll guy.
I like to do high speed passes also.
I am looking for something in the 90 to 1.2 four stroke, 60 two stroke.
Recommendations? I'd prefer ARF, but can talk a buddy into building a kit.

You can get the plans for a Ultrasport 60 at Outerzone and scratch-build one. Maybe go with a DLE20 instead of the 60 glow even. Or watch eBay, the kit (any kit really) will pop up from time to time.
or check outerzone for other 60 size birds.
Look at Pattern styles too. the Kaos 60 ARF from tower is on a two day only sale for $149, great price, and it should fit your want list!!

I have not flown one... but it seems as if that is the purpose.

The Escapade 61 is no slouch. I've been flying an electrified version (Power 90 & 8S), and it's been a blast. Or it was till I flew through a stand of trees!
I've already got a replacement, but going to use it as my first foray into gas, with a DLE 20.
It's a solidly built plane and assembles quick.

I truly love pattern planes, having competed in SPA for the last few years. But I think that from your description, a Kaos or other classic pattern plane wouldn't be what you want. Pattern in that era was all about big smooth maneuvers. Sure, you can turn up the throws and toss those planes around, but the long tails will still make them want to track. They are in their element when they are doing 250 foot loops and 8 second rolls. Not that you shouldn't want to do that, but if you are looking for something that performs like an Ultimate you won't find it in a Kaos.

I have an Ultrasport 60. It is sort of pattern-ish. It goes fast and makes large, sweeping aerobatics. It is not as responsive as my Great Planes Ultimate Bipe 40. I also have an unbuilt Ultrasport 60 kit. The US60 takes some time to put together - there is quite a bit of sanding and carving. Unless you love to build, it may not be worth your effort.

An Ultrasport is essentially a Kaos with a turtle deck type fuselage. They are great in the wind and very smooth, but aren't made for jerking around in the air like some of the later designs.

In not interested in kit building. I have way to many irons in the fire.
I looked at Craigslist. 1\4 scale giles, rtf, 300!
u can do 3d. Rtf. 225
I might just used plane route at those prices.
I can't buy the kit, or the engine, or radio gear at those prices!

That Giles will be a great flyer. A UCD is great at prop hanging, but not much else. If you try to burn holes in the sky with it you run the risk of fluttering those huge control surfaces.

A guy 15 miles up the road has a 90 sized ugly stick. Those always flew pretty good.
The guiles guy has a new arf kit also.

So you plan to crash it on the first day you have it then? Why are you even buying it if you don't think you can fly it?
If your flying skills are that bad, why not stick with some of the forgiving sport planes that we've had for years? A big Ugly Stick is just the thing for an occasional flyer. Or maybe a 4 Star. If you want something big with two wings, the Chuck Cunningham Lazy Ace is a great choice, as is the BUSA Phaeton.

My flying skills are just fine.
I bought it cause it was cheap, I have no time invested, hence not afraid to crash it.
I don't treat my "nice planes" like that... but this is just a 275 dollar beater. You have to practice with something.
