Default Ace 4-120 with what engine?

Hey folks,
I am about to aquire an Ace 4-120 and I am curious about the engine to put on it. I want to put a 2 stroke on it because of the cost, (its cheaper....sometimes), and I dont know what size would be best.
Im a sport flier I dont hover or 3D, just like to fly around but I want power to get in up their when I want too.
.90? or 1.20?
The statement on the front of the box states it will be in the 13lbs range.
Any info would be good.
I know there are lots of motors on the market. Ive been looking. Just undecided and wanted to get some opinions.

Thanks, Mike

I had a friend years ago that had a 4-120 with an O.S. 120 Surpass on it. That 4-stroke really did a great job on it. The low end power of the O.S. really came in handy. If you decide to spend the extra money, I don't think you will be sorry.

Thanks for your response...I am definitely considering it. Im not opposed to 4 strokes, I like them in fact.
So far I have recieved email about using different engines such as the ST 90, the saito 100 and 120 even the TT 1.20 pro or GMS 1.20.
Anymore thoughts would be appreciated.

if interested in saving a few dollars, the Quadra 35 is real nice on this plane, my brother-in-law had one with that set up. We flew it all the time. You can find a Quadra of this size for $50.00/75.00 easily. They are a little heavy, but very long lasting. easy to crank, good on fuel, and easy to tune. 16oz tank, and it will fly for half an hour. Just a little info from my experience. Good Luck/biplane60

A ST 2300 would make it pop.

I have this plane and it likes the super tiger 2500 or 3000. Its a heavy plane, the O.S. 1.60 would be a nice match or a moki 1.35.

The model was designed for a 4 stroke. They fly best with them. I've flown mine with 2 and 4 strokes and was much happier with the 4 stroke.

I wouldn't over power it, either. The model performs best with the 1.20.
