Default Phoneix Scanner

Has anyone tested one?

I am ready to fly one, but I have to add too much weight in front to balance. It seems something is wrong because is ARF model.

Thanks.

I have flown one for a club member on it's first flight. They are a nice first low wing model with good basic stability and capable of some aero's without scaring the pilot. For the price they are good value, but I'm sorry I can't help you with the balance question, good luck. Matt

I have been flying one and to balance it i hung it upside down from with a rope from the CG and placed the engine and shifted it around till it got right.

I feel for the price it flies like a dream. I even manage to do a knife edge with it

Hi daniXR,
There is at least 6 or so Scanner's at my club. They all fly very well, & have many differnt engines on them, anything from OS 40LA's through to 70 size Saito four strokes.

Good luck with 1, it will serve you well.

Tony.

Thank you everybody!

I put the motor in front as possible and the bateries in a flat batery holder upside the fuel depot. Now, only few grams of plumb are needed.

O.F.: Chrasharama, matt13 I was in your country last year. I was great!

Finally I put 100 gr and left the center of gravity at 7 cm from the edge.

Today I tested and it flies very well and was easy to land.
