Default Ultra sport 60 X Best engines

I´d like to know opinion about best engine options for a Great Planes Ultra Sport 60. I´m particularly interested on Os 91FX or Saito 125, but not shure about results. Thanks for any help.

I scratchbuilt my Ultra Sport 60 from the RCM plans and it
is powered by a ringed OS 61 SF long stroke. It swings an
APC 12 X 7 at about 11600 RPM and it weighs in at a little
over 8 pounds.

This is just about a perfect match for this plane. And this
is the motor that was used in the original prototype.
Any modern 61 should produce more power and be lighter in weight.

Any 90 size four stroke would probably work just as well. This is
not a plane that needs to be overpowered.

Absolutely. I've flown both of my US60's with an OS 61 FX, and this engine is plenty for this plane.

I ran a Super Tigre 75 on mine. It was a great combo. I flew it for 5 years as my everyday flyer.

I never had the US60 but the 75 is one sweet engine. It will pull at least 1 inch larger prop than the 61 and runs just as well.

Cesio:

Find yourself a good used YS60 FIRE with a Hatori header, tuned pipe, 11 x 7 3/4 or 11 x 8 prop, MK retracts and your on your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
