I had a four Star .60 and it did well on a OS .61 FX. I'm quite sure a .91 size four stroke would be a great choice for that airplane. I flew my old four star for about four years till the ground got in the way.
It's a really good flyer, but I think the .120 would really be too much.

Well if you really like vertical it's probably what you'd want. I think it's too much engine for it though. I like to over power my 3D planes but to over power a sport plane it's usually a waste of engine.

Too much Power. Never understood that concept. When I first stated I always thought more power, more fun. Definitely more excitment because of the skill necessary to overcome things like torque, faster speed, quicker response. Its something everyone has to do at least once, but usually not on a continious basis. Just keep in mind more engine than recommended usually means more weight up front and therefor make sure your CG is where it should be. Be judicious on the throttle and have fun.

RE: 120 FS120 Surpass III.....too much engine?
I have a Saito 100 and a new OS 120 Surpass III - I was curious about which engine to use. The 120 seems like it might be too under powered for the 4 Star 120 and too heavy / powerful for the 60. I hate to use the Saito because it means I'd have to take it off of my ultra stick.
I'm looking for a good low wing sport plane and have narrowed it down to the 4 Stars or Goldberg Tigers.
Your thoughts?
