Default I live on a cliff !!!!!!!!!!

I live on the edge of a very steep slope over the sea in New zealand.Due to my wife, kids, and children, I don't have much spare time for my love---------flying rc planes
I have a rambler 45 with a saito 82 which would certainly launch from my deck maybe with a slight ramp, the problem is getting her down again, there is not enough room for a conventional landing, has anyone tried a net or a hook to catch a plane in mid air, Ive got lots of room to hang things up & a reasonable lawn, it's just not flat enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard of a net suspended across two poles and the plane is flown into the net to catch it. It was for slope gliders. Seemed like a cool retrieval method. Not sure if it would work well for a heavier powered model.

How big of a slope and what's your prevailing wind? Have you considered slope soarers? They're not your ordinary gliders!

Then you'd just need to learn to do a slope side landing.

I think you problem would be if you missed the net or if the engine dies in flight you would have to retrieve the plane from the botto of the cliff.
