Flap Mixing

For the first time I wish to mix a bit of elevator when I deploy the flaps.
How much is recomended, and how do I go about the mixing process?
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sidekick.

RE: Flap Mixing

Depends on your Radio system, I have a DX7 and will set any mix gradually on the ground and do a visual ( Static ) observation. I am a little more agressive with Sub Trim, Expo, and DR adjustments and will do that in flight with a spotter.
You can also have someone look at your stick position with you flaps in use and use that as a reference point for mixing elevator in once you are back on terra firma. (Someone with similar flying style )

Good luck,

Start with only about 5 or 6% and try it at a safe altitude. Adjust the amount from there

Sidekick,

Do you have access to a flight simulator? Consider getting one that uses your computer radio's TX as the controller. The biggest benefit I have found they offer is the opportunity to learn to use all those great features of computer radios. I think that learning potential with the sim just about makes the cost a wash. If you don't, try like MinnFlyer suggested a little at a time and at altitude. Good Luck!
