Need home for an OS 75 engine

My first and last Nitroplane P-51 crashed. Finally! Now, I need a good home to put my OS75 engine. I am looking for a good sport well built plane that will be fast with a 75, but simple and not difficult to fly.

I am considering 2 planes: the GP Revolver 59&rdquo; and the GP Chapman Eagle 580. I would appreciate idea from anyone who owns those planes or any other sport plane they want to suggest.

Charlie,

What engine do you have in yours? I looked at the Great Planes one at Tower, and I want to make sure that the 75 won't require reinforcing the firewall or add lots of weight to balance.

Are you willing to build a kit? If so, consider the UltraSport 60 and Hog Bipe.

Don't own a Stinger, myself.  Just familiar with them.  I have an OS.70-II in a .60 size Contender but from there my next larger engines are 26cc &amp; larger gassers.

No thanks for the kits. Last time it took me 80 hours to build one and I did not do a good job.
They sell Super Sporter ARF now.

Any 40 size sport plane should do [X(] :D :D Jokes aside, I have a 76 on my Rev 59 and that is a nice setup.

Look into the Aeroworks 46-61 size Edge 540 and their 60-90 sized series, the Yak 54, Extra 300, and Extra 260. I have had the Edge and the Yak, and have the Extra 300 on order. The Edge has a one piece wing, the others have plug in wings. All can accomodate your OS 75 w/ the stock muffler and it will give excellent performance (it's the engine I used).

They are all about the same wingspan & wing area, fly great, and are high quality models. I have flown them both for 3 years and had no wear & tear- still looked as new. Sold them to acquire a larger model last year, which is great...but this size model is perfect for me for a quick trip to the field so I've got the Extra on order.

In the spirit of the Revolver, a Hangar 9 Pulse XT 60 is a great plane for that engine. Had one until a solder connection on my flight pack went loose and my receiver took an extended nap... Didn't end well for the Pulse, but the engine lives on in a Great Planes RV-4 60.

I plan on doing another XT 60 for next season with a Saito FG-17 gas engine.
