Baby Bee, Lazy Bee owners!!!

hi guys im the proud owner of a baby bee well i think thats what it says on the wing...lol i got it at a local swap meet for 40.00 RTF all i had to do was put fuel in it and off she went im currently running a OS.15 glow motor in it and changed the gas tank from 2oz to 16oz so i get more flying time has anyone done a bigger engine like a OS.25-35? mine climbs good and also does good 3d i love this bee...lol also where can i get a kit i would like to do an electric one..i know the 16oz might be overkill but a 2 oz was not enough it was like a tease flying for about 5 min...lol then deadstick we have 400 acers of land that we fly and i like to have enough gas to get the bee back to the runway...... the 16oz tank fits nice and tight in the nose and provides enough fuel for about 45 min.... then again i personally think 16oz is too much but that what i had available a the time..... anyone have pics of their bee's im thinking about re covering mine and i would like ideas on it.. thank you guys by the way if you like to check our our field anyone close to NC you guys are always welcome to come and fly ....check us out at riversiderc.com

Hi

Here is my lazy bee bought at a swap meet for £25 it currently has a enya 15 engine not the os in the picture.

I have recently rebuilt the elevator and rudder which are now covered transparant red.

I believe it has a 4 ounce fuel tank.

You need to check the plane over CAREFULLY. If the plane is an ARF, DON'T DO IT.

The ARFs are not structurally strong. They have used hard balsa and basswood in areas wher plywood is needed in order to keep the weight down. In addition, the glue joints are hot glue, INCLUDING THE FIREWALL.

I made the mistake of buying a Speedy Bee ARF. That plane is a waste of good money. I have it set up for electric (wouldn't trust a glow engine on it ) and had to beef it up.
